Threat To Amit Shah's Position

Pressure kept building on the BJP Leadership after the defeat in the three Northern States (Madhya Pradesh- Rajasthan- Chhattisgarh). None other than Union Minister Nitin Gadkari criticised Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for claiming credit for victories and throwing blame on others when the party concedes defeat. Though the voice might be Nitin Gadkari's, Words might have come from RSS.

Sangh Parivar has been mounting pressure on the national leadership to ensure Amit Shah accepts the responsibility for the defeat. A Sangh Parivar Leader had dared to propose the name of former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for replacing Amit Shah as BJP President.

Modi and Shah had collectively brought BJP to power in many states between the period 2014 to 2017. However, Nothing worked in the favour of BJP particularly in the second half of 2018. There seems to be an undercurrent Anti-Modi Wave in the country. If this situation continues, BJP ends up losing at least 150 MP Seats out of 300-plus it won in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.
