Citizenship Amendment Bill will be written in golden letters : Modi
Addressing the BJP Parliamentary meeting in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Bill will give permanent relief to people who fled religious persecution. Modi also said that the Opposition is speaking the language of Pakistan on the Bill, PTI reported, quoting sources. Modi said that the legislation "will be written in golden letters."

After the legislation was passed in Lok Sabha, Modi had tweeted, saying the legislation was “in line with India’s centuries-old ethos of assimilation and belief in humanitarian values.” He had also applauded Union Home Minister Amit Shah for “lucidly” explaining all aspects of the Bill.
