Speaking at the rally, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said. "One who doesn't fight injustice in the country will be judged as a coward. India's Constitution would be destroyed if citizens didn't raise their voices and stayed in the darkness of fear and lies. We will be as responsible for this as the arrogant and lying leaders of BJP-RSS," she said launching a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. She added that her statements are the "reality", attacking the government over the rise in onion prices, unemployment and job loss.
Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram also spoke at the Bharat Bachao rally. He said that the Modi government had wrecked the economy in six months, and that the ministers were completely clueless. P Chidambaram has also begun to vehemently criticize the government especially amidst the deplorable economic conditions of the country. The leader is currently released on bail in connection to the INX Media money laundering case.
Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India was also seen speaking at the rally in Ramlila Maidan. He said that it is the responsibility of people to take the message of Party chief Sonia Gandhi to the masses.
