Huntington Co. Sheriff’s Dept. investigates loud boom
The Huntington County Sheriff’s Department has stopped investigating the cause of a loud noise that was heard in several areas of Huntington County Saturday evening.

Captain McElhaney from the Huntington County Sheriff’s Department, told NewsChannel 15 the police department received several phone calls inquiring about the noise that was heard around 11 p.m.  He said the noise could be heard from Roanoke to Bippus, which is about a 15 mile distance. McElhaney said several police units searched the area, however, they did not find anything that would have caused the disruption.
