Laalo becomes first Gujarati film to enter ₹100 crore club with record success!!

The Gujarati movie “Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate” has achieved a historic milestone by entering the ₹100-crore club. Remarkably, this film was created with a modest budget of just ₹50 lakhs and has now become the highest-earning film in the history of Gujarati cinema.

Gujarati film production is generally small-scale, with most movies made on limited budgets. Yet, films from this industry occasionally deliver extraordinary results. Some Gujarati stories have even inspired Telugu remakes. Now, another milestone has been created—this ₹50-lakh film has crossed the ₹100-crore mark, becoming the first Gujarati movie to achieve such a feat. The film is titled “Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate.”

The plot revolves around Laalo, a rickshaw driver. Seeking quick money, he lands himself in a trap and ends up confined in a farmhouse with no way to escape. During this struggle, he experiences a spiritual awakening. The movie portrays how Laalo manages to break free from the farmhouse with the divine guidance of Lord Krishna, whom he serves devotedly.

Director Ankit Sakhiya produced this film on a shoestring budget of ₹50 lakhs. Although the movie received an average response during its first week, strong word-of-mouth significantly boosted its performance. Released on October 10, the film crossed ₹100 crore in gross revenue within nearly 50 days. It is scheduled for international release from December 5. “Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate” stands as proof that even small films with strong storytelling can capture the hearts of audiences. The film features performances by Reeva Rach, Shruhad Goswami, Karan Joshi, and others.
