Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana is gearing up for an ambitious global release, with the epic reportedly set to be dubbed in nearly 40 languages. The move is part of producer Namit Malhotra’s reported plans to take the mythological saga to audiences worldwide on an unprecedented scale.

The film’s international promotional campaign has included appearances at CinemaCon 2026 and San Diego Comic-Con. Its partnership with Sony Pictures for international distribution is also expected to support its reach across global markets.

According to industry reports, dubbing the film into nearly 40 languages will allow audiences in different countries to experience the story in their preferred languages rather than relying solely on subtitles. Details of the languages selected for dubbing are expected to be announced within the next one to two weeks.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the two-part epic features music by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

The first instalment is scheduled to hit theatres on November 5, 2026, during the Diwali festive period, while the second part is planned for release during Diwali 2027.

With its star-studded cast, international distribution plans and reported multilingual release, Ramayana is positioning itself as a major global project in Indian cinema.
