Deva Box Office Collection Day 1: Shahid Kapoor's Action Thriller Makes A Decent Start

Shahid Kapoor’s action thriller Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, hit theaters on January 31, 2025, after a delay. Despite mixed reviews from both critics and audiences, the film had a decent opening at the box office.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Deva earned Rs 5 crore on its first day. Although it performed reasonably well, this collection is lower than Kapoor's previous film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (Rs 6.7 crore on day 1).

The film, produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, features Shahid Kapoor as Dev Ambre, with supporting roles played by Pavail Gulati, Kubbra Sait, Girish Kulkarni, and Manish Wadhwa. After its theatrical release, Deva will be available on Netflix, though the OTT release date is yet to be confirmed.

In a recent interview, Shahid Kapoor spoke about his role, emphasizing the depth of the character and how playing complex, dark roles helps an actor grow beyond the "nice guy" image.
