Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, crosses ₹1365 crore globally in 11 days, surpassing Dhurandhar’s lifetime earnings and setting new box office benchmarks.

The much-anticipated sequel Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, has delivered an exceptional performance at the global box office, crossing ₹1365 crore within just 11 days of its release. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has now emerged as the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

Released with a record-breaking premiere, the film posted impressive numbers during its opening week, collecting ₹674 crore net in India. After a brief weekday slowdown, the film regained strong momentum during its second weekend.

On its second Friday, Dhurandhar 2 earned ₹41.75 crore, followed by ₹62.85 crore on Saturday. It then recorded the biggest second Sunday in Indian cinema history, collecting ₹68 crore. This pushed its total domestic earnings to ₹847 crore net (₹1012 crore gross), making it the highest domestic collection ever for a Hindi film, surpassing the ₹840 crore benchmark set by its predecessor.

Strong Overseas Performance

Internationally, the film has performed equally well. It opened with $7 million and earned over $22 million during its first weekend overseas. Despite a midweek dip, collections surged again during the second weekend, with Sunday alone contributing nearly $3 million.

With total overseas earnings reaching approximately $38 million, Dhurandhar 2 has now become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America, surpassing the long-standing record of Baahubali 2.

Surpasses Original Film’s Lifetime Collection

The sequel has now overtaken the global lifetime collection of Dhurandhar, which stood at ₹1307 crore. With ₹1365 crore worldwide, Dhurandhar 2 is currently behind only Dangal (₹2070 crore), Baahubali 2 (₹1788 crore), and Pushpa 2 (₹1724 crore).

Trade analysts believe that if the current trend continues, the film is well-positioned to cross ₹2000 crore globally and challenge existing box office records.

Cast and Production Details

Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The spy thriller, released on March 19, builds on the success of its predecessor, which continues to run in select theatres even months after its release.
