Mohanlal’s 2007 cult hit Chotta Mumbai re-released on June 6, 2025, in 4K Dolby Atmos, earning Rs 3.4 crore in 10 days in Kerala. This marks his fourth successful re-release after Spadikam, Manichitrathazhu, and Devadoothan.
Directed by Anwar Rasheed, the film follows Vasco, a Fort Kochi gang leader, in a comic, action-filled tale. With a star-studded cast and debut music by Rahul Raj, the film remains a fan favorite. The re-release trend is bringing Malayalam classics back to life for new audiences.
