The Malayalam film industry continues to deliver remarkable box office successes, especially with low-budget productions exceeding expectations. The latest addition to this trend is Vaazha 2, which has emerged as a sensational blockbuster.

The film, made on a modest budget of ₹5 crore, has reportedly collected around ₹180 crore worldwide, making it one of the most profitable Malayalam films in recent times. This extraordinary performance has placed it among the top five highest-grossing films in the Malayalam film industry.

The first installment, Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, introduced audiences to a group of friends navigating college life filled with humor, conflicts, and unexpected challenges. Produced on a budget of ₹4 crore, the original film collected approximately ₹38 crore during its full theatrical run.

Building on the success of the first part, the sequel Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Bros follows the lives of four friends—Hasheer, Alan, Azin, and Vinayak. The film presents a series of relatable and engaging events from their lives, resonating strongly with audiences.

Released on April 2, the sequel received highly positive word-of-mouth from its opening day, contributing to its strong box office performance. The story for both films was written by Vipin Das, while the sequel was directed by Savin SA. Notably, Telugu producer Sahu Garapati is also associated with the project.

With its impressive earnings, Vaazha 2 has now secured a place among the top-grossing Malayalam films, surpassing several big-budget productions.

Following its massive success in Malayalam, the film is now set for release in Telugu under the Shine Screens banner, aiming to reach a wider audience.
