Dhanush's Raayan Becomes the Highest-Grossing Tamil Film of 2024

Produced with a budget of Rs 90 crore, the film has grossed Rs 160 crore worldwide. Initially, Indian 2 led with a global collection of Rs 151 crore, but Raayan has now surpassed it.

The film stars Dhanush, Aparna Balamurali, Devadarshini Chetan, and Kalidas Jayaram, with Manish Bhavan co-writing alongside Dhanush. Raayan is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Sun NXT and was released in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.

There were rumors that Dhanush’s brother, Selvaraghavan, contributed to the script, but Selvaraghavan has clarified via Twitter that he had no involvement in the scripting process and is only an actor in the film. Dhanush has previously directed Power Paandi and Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam.
