Thalapathy Vijay's highly anticipated film, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), has shattered records with ₹16 crore in worldwide bookings. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the action-packed movie is set to release on Thursday, September 5. It is speculated that this may be Vijay's penultimate film before his potential transition into politics. The film has already sold ₹11 crore worth of tickets for its opening day.

GOAT has garnered ₹11.2 crore from Tamil-speaking regions alone, with tickets averaging ₹208 each. According to Sacnilk, the movie's Day 1 ticket sales stand at ₹11 crore, with blocked seats pushing the total beyond ₹14.6 crore. In Maharashtra, advance sales are modest at ₹4 lakh, and the Delhi-NCR region has contributed under ₹2 lakh. However, in the US, GOAT has earned ₹5.5 crore, surpassing the advance booking record previously held by Vijay's Beast.

Film

The film features a star-studded cast, including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Laila, Yogi Babu, and Vaibhav. With a budget exceeding ₹400 crore, GOAT is one of the most expensive films produced this year. It includes original music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni.
