Directed by Kiranraj K, the film, which highlights the touching relationship between a human, Dharma (played by Rakshit Shetty), and a dog named Charlie, was produced on a budget of Rs 20 crore and earned Rs 105 to 115 crore globally. It’s currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime and Jio Cinema. The film's success is attributed to its emotional depth, particularly its moving ending. Starring Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B Shetty, and Bobby Simha, 777 Charlie won the Best Film award at the South Indian International Movie Awards in 2023.

In a heartwarming update, Charlie recently gave birth to six puppies, a news shared by Rakshit Shetty on Instagram. He expressed his joy and showcased the puppies, captioning the post with excitement about the new additions to their family.

Rakshit Shetty is set to return as a director of the Kannada film Richard Anthony: Lord of The Sea, which he will also star in. The film, produced by Hombale Films, is currently in pre-production. As an actor, Rakshit’s latest role was in the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello franchise, which was well-received and is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
