Mahesh Babu’s film 'Khaleja,' initially a flop, gained cult status over time. Its recent re-release for Superstar Krishna’s birthday exceeded expectations, especially overseas, earning around Rs 7 crore worldwide.
In all-time re-release collections, 'Murari' leads with Rs 9 crore, followed by 'Gabbar Singh' (Rs 8 crore), 'Khushi' (Rs 7.7 crore), and another film at Rs 7 crore. Encouraged by this, Mahesh Babu plans to re-release 'Takkari Donga,' another past flop.
