Mahesh Babu's birthday celebration saw the record-breaking re-release of his 2001 cult classic  Murari in 4K. Directed by Krishna Vamsi and featuring Sonali Bendre, this supernatural family drama remains popular for its memorable soundtrack.

Movie Synopsis 

Set in the 19th century,  Murari follows a Zamindar who tries to sell a sacred idol to the British to settle his debts. His death under mysterious circumstances leads to a curse on his descendants, who face death every 48 years. The film builds tension as Murari confronts this curse.

Advance Bookings and Record 

The anticipation for  Murari 4K  was reflected in its bookings, with Hyderabad alone generating Rs 2.75 Crore in pre-sales. The film earned an impressive Rs 2.92 Crore in the Nizam region, setting a new record for re-released films.

The film features a stellar cast including the late Kaikala Satyanarayana, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, and Prakash Raj, among others. Produced by Ram Prasad Arts with music by Mani Sharma,  Murari is celebrated for its successful soundtrack and cinematic craftsmanship.
