The trend of re-releasing classic films in Tollywood is continuing to grow. Akkineni Nagarjuna’s cult favorite Shiva returned to cinemas this Friday in a newly remastered 4K version. The movie has drawn strong interest from today’s younger audience, as well as from leading actors and filmmakers who hold the film in high regard.

Its comeback received an impressive response right from day one. Over 20,000 tickets were reportedly booked in advance, and more than 16,000 tickets were sold on the release day alone. Early estimates suggest that the global box-office collection may cross ₹3 crore with this re-release.
