As of now, Devara is off to a strong start at the box office, with domestic collections reaching ₹54.27 crore gross, including advance sales. Worldwide, day one bookings have exceeded ₹85 crore gross, with ₹30 crore coming from international markets. The film's advance sales for the opening weekend have already surpassed ₹90 crore gross, setting it up for a robust first day. Devara is likely to become the second-highest opening Indian film of 2024, closely following Kalki 2898 AD, which debuted with ₹175 crore gross.

Produced on a massive budget of ₹300 crore, Devara, initially titled NTR30, marks Jr. NTR's 30th film as the lead actor. The film was officially announced in April 2021, with its title revealed in May 2023. It was later split into two parts, with principal photography for the first part starting in April 2023 and concluding in August 2024, filmed in locations such as Hyderabad, Shamshabad, Visakhapatnam, Goa, and Thailand. The film features a talented crew, including music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad.
