Khaleja Re Release Collects Rs 7.35 Crore In 3 Days Worldwide

Mahesh Babu’s film Khaleja, initially a commercial failure, has now achieved cult classic status following its successful re-release. The film, initially rejected by one generation, is now appreciated by the current audience.

On day one, Khaleja grossed around Rs 5.30 crore worldwide, setting a record by earning over $100,000 in North America. Day two and three collections in the Telugu states were Rs 1.20 crore and Rs 75 lakh, respectively. The total worldwide gross in three days is Rs 7.35 crore, which is expected to be the final tally.

Trade analysts rank Khaleja third among Tollywood’s top re-released films, after Murari (Rs 9 crore) and Gabbar Singh (Rs 8 crore). Fans believe that if Khaleja had been released on Mahesh Babu’s birthday, it could have topped the list. The film will be re-released on August 9, Mahesh’s birthday, cementing its status as an all-time classic.
