‘Police Station Mein Bhoot’: RGV’s Horror Comeback With Manoj Bajpayee, Rao Ramesh

Ram Gopal Varma, whose iconic films Shiva and Rangeela were brought back to theatres in November, is now concentrating on his upcoming project titled “Police Station Mein Bhoot.”

Once regarded as a prominent filmmaker in the horror genre, Varma is returning to his roots after a long gap with this new supernatural drama. The movie is currently being shot in Hyderabad, and the final schedule has recently begun. The cast includes Genelia, Ramya Krishna and Manoj Bajpayee in crucial roles.

Interestingly, it was Varma who first introduced Manoj Bajpayee to the Telugu audience. After impressing everyone as Bhiku Mhatre in the Hindi film Satya, Bajpayee made his Tollywood entry with Sumanth’s debut film Premakatha, directed by Varma. Since then, his career has consistently grown, and he has once again achieved nationwide fame with the hit web series The Family Man.

The film also features Rao Ramesh in an important role. Varma shared a working still on his social media, surprising fans because Rao Ramesh has never previously acted in a Hindi film. This project is expected to be his first in that language. Observers believe Varma is giving this film special attention.

The recent re-release of Varma’s classics in both Telugu and Hindi reminded audiences of the impactful cinema he once delivered. With that backdrop, many feel that Police Station Mein Bhoot might help Varma regain some of his lost reputation and bring back the spark he was once famous for.
