Aamir Khan announced he has quit smoking after years of heavy consumption, sharing the news at the trailer launch of his son Junaid Khan's upcoming film Loveyapa. Aamir, who has been smoking for years, admitted that quitting was a difficult but necessary step for his health. He urged others to also quit, stating that smoking is harmful and should be avoided.

Aamir revealed that the decision to quit was influenced by his son’s career beginning, and he made a personal resolve to stop smoking. He expressed happiness in making this change and hoped his sacrifice would positively impact his son’s career. Junaid’s theatrical debut, Loveyapa, will be released on February 7, backed by Aamir Khan Productions. Aamir is also working on his next project, Sitaare Zameen Par.
