Persistent monsoon rains have caused severe floods in Punjab, displacing thousands and submerging farmland. Alia Bhatt extended her heartfelt concern for those affected, wishing that every family receive the help necessary to recover and rebuild their lives.

Severe flooding has impacted multiple districts, including Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, and Amritsar. Over 61,000 hectares of farmland are submerged, and the Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage are suspended until September 5.
