Alia Bhatt’s former personal assistant, Vedika Prakash Shetty (32), has been arrested for allegedly cheating the actor of Rs 76.9 lakh between May 2022 and August 2024. She is accused of creating fake bills while managing finances for Bhatt and her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions.

The fraud came to light after Bhatt’s mother, Soni Razdan, filed a police complaint on January 23, 2025. Vedika reportedly routed the stolen funds through a friend’s account. After evading arrest across several states, she was finally tracked down in Bengaluru and brought to Mumbai by Juhu police.
