Boney Kapoor has confirmed that a sequel to Sridevi's last film, Mom (2017), is in the works. The sequel, Mom 2, is expected to star their daughter, Khushi Kapoor. At the IIFA 2025 event, Boney shared his plans for the film, expressing hope that Khushi would follow in her late mother's footsteps in the industry. He also mentioned that Khushi had impressed him with her films like Archies, Loveyappa, and Nadaaniyaan, and they were planning a movie together.

Mom was a gripping drama where Sridevi portrayed a mother seeking justice for her daughter, earning her a posthumous Best Actress National Award. Boney also teased updates about the sequel to No Entry, with more details expected to be announced after finalizing the cast. The No Entry sequel is set to release around July-August, starring Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh.
