On what would have been Sridevi’s 61st birthday, her husband, filmmaker Boney Kapoor, shared a touching tribute on social media. Kapoor posted a cherished photo of Sridevi with the message: “Happy birthday my Jaan (hug and kiss emojis) (sic).” Friends and fans, including Manish Malhotra and Sanjay Kapoor, responded with heartfelt emojis.

Their daughter, Khushi Kapoor, honored the day by posting a nostalgic childhood photo featuring herself, Sridevi, and her sister Janhvi Kapoor. The picture captures Sridevi’s radiant presence with her daughters.

Sridevi tragically passed away in February 2018 in Dubai as a result of accidental drowning. Boney Kapoor later revealed that her death was due to health issues from a restrictive diet, including blackouts and low blood pressure.

In an interview, Boney clarified that Sridevi's death was an accident, not a natural cause. Janhvi Kapoor, reflecting on her mother’s death during an appearance on Koffee With Karan, shared that Khushi stopped crying after seeing her, and has not publicly mourned since.

Janhvi, who recently appeared in Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah, has upcoming projects including Devara with Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
