Akshaye Khanna has undergone a striking transformation into the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb for his role in the upcoming film Chhaava. New posters reveal a powerful and unrecognizable Khanna, with a lean face, salt-and-pepper hair, and a side profile that closely resembles the historic figure.

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, also stars Vicky Kaushal as Sambhaji and Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai. The film, based on the Marathi novel by Shivaji Sawant, is set to release its trailer on January 22 and will hit theaters on February 14. The story revolves around the tragic death of Chhatrapati Sambhaji at the hands of Aurangzeb, who cruelly tortured him before his execution.
