Choo Mantar Casting Update: Srileela Steps in After Ananya Panday Exits

Following Ananya Panday’s reported exit from the Hindi movie Choo Mantar, the filmmakers are now considering new faces for the role. This turn of events has sparked excitement among Srileela’s fans in North India.

Although Sree Leela hasn’t yet delivered major hits in Telugu cinema, the young actress is suddenly gaining attention in Bollywood. She has recently been offered a prominent role in the high-profile fantasy-romance film Choo Mantar, produced by the well-known Maddock Films. According to sources close to the production, Ananya Panday, originally signed for the part, had to step away from the project due to scheduling conflicts, and Srileela has now been approached as her replacement.

The shooting of Choo Mantar is planned to start next month, but Ananya Panday’s schedule couldn’t accommodate the dates. She had to prioritize the second season of her successful web series Call Me Bae. She had also hoped to collaborate with producers behind hit films like Munjya and Stree 2, but scheduling clashes prevented her from taking on these projects. Consequently, she withdrew from Choo Mantar.

Srileela, despite her last Telugu film Mass Jathara with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja underperforming at the box office, continues to enjoy a strong fan following. Her talent has notably caught the eye of Bollywood directors and producers. The actress is preparing for her Bollywood debut, starring alongside Karthik Aaryan under the direction of acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu. Even before the film’s release, Srileela has become a sought-after name in Bollywood circles.

In addition to Choo Mantar, she is reportedly being considered for a dance number in another Hindi film and is in talks with leading directors and producers for other significant projects. Industry analysts believe that a film like Choo Mantar could be a game-changer, firmly establishing her in Bollywood. If she secures the role, Srileela is poised to make a lasting mark in the Hindi film industry.

Alongside Srileela, Gujarati actress Janki Bodiwala is also being considered as a replacement for Ananya Panday. The final announcement on which young actress will land the role is expected soon.
