Deepika Padukone recently shared the challenges she faced during her pregnancy, particularly in the last trimester. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, on September 8, 2024. Although they became parents in September, the couple chose to wait until November to announce their baby's name, carefully selecting it over the course of two months. Deepika explained that the name "Dua," inspired by the Arabic word for prayer, holds special meaning for their daughter.

In an interview with Marie Claire, Deepika reflected on her difficult pregnancy journey, stating that the experience felt recent despite the time that had passed. She also mentioned that spending time with her daughter is her current priority, taking a break from work.

Deepika is expected to return to the set soon for Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, and is rumored to be joining Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in the cast of King.
