Disha Salian Case: Father Seeks CBI Probe Against Aaditya Thackeray, Alleges Cover Up

Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian, has approached the Bombay High Court, alleging that his daughter was subjected to gang rape and brutal sexual harassment. He has requested the court to register a case against Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray and others and to conduct an investigation through the CBI. A petition was filed on Thursday regarding this matter.

On June 8, 2020, Disha Salian passed away after falling from the 14th floor of a high-rise building in Malad. The police initially registered it as an accidental death, and her father had previously stated that he had no suspicions regarding her demise. However, five years after her death, Satish Salian has now moved the Bombay High Court, claiming that Disha hosted a party at her residence on June 8, 2020, which was attended by Aaditya Thackeray, his bodyguards, actors Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, and several others.

Satish Salian alleged that during this party, Disha was subjected to gang rape and brutal sexual assault. He pointed out in the petition that, despite claims that she fell from the building, there were no fractures on her body, and no bloodstains were found at the scene. He further alleged that political pressure led to the destruction of forensic evidence and tampering with CCTV footage. The petition also claims that Disha’s post-mortem was delayed by over 50 hours, unlike Sushant Singh Rajput’s, which was conducted on the same day. Satish accused authorities of deliberately delaying the post-mortem to destroy evidence protecting Aaditya Thackeray and demanded a CBI probe into the matter.
