Emergency Trailer Release Date Announced: Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut is set to unveil the trailer for her highly anticipated film Emergency. Directed, co-produced, and starring Kangana as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the film delves into the controversial period of the 1975 Emergency in India.

The trailer for Emergency is scheduled for release on August 14, 2024. Kangana announced the date on Instagram, sharing a new poster and writing, "Witness the Darkest Times of Democratic Indian History & the Lust for Power that Almost Burned Down the Nation! The Emergency trailer is out on August 14."

Initially set for a 2023 release, Emergency faced delays due to Kangana's involvement in the 2024 Lok Sabha campaigns. The film is now slated for a global theatrical release on September 6, 2024.

Produced under Kangana's Manikarnika Films banner, Emergency explores the turbulent years of 1975-1977 when Indira Gandhi declared a nationwide state of emergency. Kangana has shared that she had to mortgage her property to complete the film, revealing, "My film was stopped. I made this film by mortgaging my house and jewelry."
