From Child Star to Pan India Heroine: Sara Arjun Shines in ‘Dhurandhar’

Think back to the little girl who portrayed Vikram’s daughter in that movie. Speaking about her experience with her mentally challenged father, she shared, “Being part of this journey has been a joy. It moved us to tears.” Alongside Vikram, her role as the child was instrumental in the film’s success. Today, that little girl has transformed into a full-fledged Pan-India actress. Her name is Sara Arjun.

Sara recently played the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh in the blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’. At just 20 years old, she has made her mark as a Pan-India heroine. Released on December 5, the movie is currently dominating the Indian box office, grossing over ?500 crore in just ten days. Following the film’s release, Sara Arjun has become the talk of the town.

Born in Mumbai in 2005, Sara is the daughter of actor Arjun. She began her career at the tender age of one and a half with a television commercial. Her debut ad was met with acclaim, leading to numerous offers. By the age of six, she had appeared in over 100 commercials for major brands including Maggi, Clinic Plus, McDonald’s, and Kalyan Jewellers.

Six years later, Kollywood director Vijay noticed her talent in a commercial and decided to cast her in his film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, which was later released in Telugu as ‘Naanna’. Sara portrayed Vikram’s daughter and received widespread recognition for her performance, winning multiple awards as a child artist. She later worked as a child actor in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ alongside Aishwarya Rai and appeared in several Bollywood films, including the Telugu movie ‘Dandakor’ with Rajendra Prasad. Sara Arjun went on to set records as one of the highest-paid child artists in the Indian film industry.
