Hansika Motwani Faces Trial After Bombay High Court Dismisses Plea
Bombay High Court dismisses Hansika Motwani's plea to quash FIR filed by Nancy James. Trial against Hansika and her mother over harassment and domestic violence allegations will proceed.

The Bombay High Court rejected Hansika Motwani’s plea to quash an FIR by her former sister-in-law, Nancy James, allowing the trial against her and her mother to continue. Nancy alleges harassment and domestic violence, claiming it caused mental trauma and Bell’s palsy. The FIR cites IPC sections 498A, 323, and 352.
Nancy’s marriage to Hansika’s brother, Prashant, turned troubled, with claims of in-law interference and demands for gifts. Hansika and her mother had anticipatory bail but failed to get the FIR struck off.
Separately, Hansika’s marriage to Sohael Khaturiya is reportedly facing issues, with the couple living apart.
