Hema Malini Shares Unseen Memories of Dharmendra, Pens Emotional Tribute to Her Husband

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India: Hema Malini Reminisces Precious Moments With Dharmendra: “These Photos Bring Back So Many Emotions”

Just three days after the passing of her husband, legendary actor Dharmendra, Hema Malini took to her X account on November 27 to share heartfelt tribute posts. She posted a collection of nostalgic photographs featuring Dharmendra and their daughters, Esha and Ahana, captured at various occasions. The images reflect the deep bond and closeness the family shared.

Accompanying the pictures, Hema Malini wrote, “I know this is a lot of photos, but these were never shared before, and looking at them, my emotions are overflowing.” One photo shows the couple wrapped in a massive garland, while another features Dharmendra celebrating a birthday. Additional images include moments with Esha Deol and another showing Dharmendra, Hema Malini, and Ahana together.

In a touching tribute, Hema Malini described her late husband as, “Dharamji was everything to me: a loving husband, devoted father to our daughters, Esha and Ahana, friend, philosopher, mentor, poet, and my constant support in all circumstances. He stood by me through joys and challenges alike and always embraced my family with warmth and affection.”

She also praised his legacy, saying, “As a public figure, his talent, humility despite fame, and universal appeal made him an unparalleled icon. His contributions and accomplishments in cinema will be remembered forever. Personally, my loss is immeasurable, leaving a void that will stay with me always. After all these years together, I cherish countless memories of our special moments.”

Hema Malini also shared additional pictures highlighting their years of togetherness, writing, “Through all the years, we were always there for each other. Some moments were truly special.”

Dharmendra’s Prayer Meet

A prayer ceremony was held on November 27 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai to honor Dharmendra’s memory. The event was organized by his sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with other family members. Numerous celebrities, including Salman Khan, Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan, Aryan Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Ameesha Patel, Sidharth Malhotra, Suniel Shetty, and many more attended to pay their respects.

However, Hema Malini and her daughters chose not to attend the prayer meet.

Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 at his Mumbai residence on November 12, following a hospital stay that began on October 31 due to breathing difficulties. His final film appearance will be in Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis, in which he plays the father of Agastya Nanda.
