Jaipur Court Issues Notices to Shah Rukh, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff Over Vimal Pan Masala Ad

The Jaipur District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (GIP) has issued notices to Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff, along with JB Industries Chairman, over the Vimal Pan Masala advertisement, claiming it is misleading. The forum alleges that the ad falsely promotes the presence of saffron in every grain of the product. The Bollywood stars have been summoned to appear in person or through a representative on March 19 to address these concerns.

The case was filed by Jaipur resident Yogendra Singh Badial, who argued that the ad misleads consumers by suggesting that saffron is present in the product, despite a significant price difference. The tagline, "Daane Daane Mein Hai Kesar Ka Dum" (Every grain has the power of saffron), has become the center of controversy. The petitioner highlighted that saffron costs around ₹4 lakh per kilogram, while Vimal Pan Masala is sold for just ₹5, making it highly unlikely that real saffron or its fragrance is actually present in the product.

The forum, led by President Gairsilal Meena and member Hemlata Agarwal, took the complaint into consideration and issued notices to the actors and the company chairman. The complainant accused them of promoting false claims and misleading consumers by endorsing the product. He further demanded a ban on the advertisement, alleging that it spreads deceptive marketing practices.
