Kajal Aggarwal has reportedly joined Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated Ramayana as Mandodari, Raavana’s wife, opposite Yash. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, the epic Ramayana is set to unfold in two cinematic chapters, releasing in 2026 and 2027. A source confirmed Kajal did a look test and has started shooting scenes set in Lanka.

Earlier reports suggested Sakshi Tanwar might play Mandodari, but an official confirmation is awaited. Maharashtra CM recently praised the film’s production, calling it a global benchmark in storytelling. Joining the stellar cast, Kunal Kapoor takes on the role of Lord Indra, Sunny Deol portrays the mighty Hanuman, and Lara Dutta steps in as Queen Kaikeyi.
