Veteran Bollywood actress Kajol has once again stirred up social media with her bold statement. Known for her candid nature and straightforward opinions, the actress recently remarked that “marriage should come with an expiry date and a renewal option.” The comment quickly became a trending topic online, drawing mixed reactions from fans.

Kajol, who has been happily married to actor Ajay Devgn for over 26 years, made this statement during the celebrity talk show “Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle,” co-hosted by Twinkle Khanna. The latest episode also featured Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon as guests.

During the conversation, Twinkle asked the guests, “Should marriage have an expiry date and renewal option?” While Vicky, Kriti, and Twinkle themselves disagreed and stood in the “red zone,” Kajol surprised everyone by stepping into the “green zone” and responding affirmatively.

“It’s not a washing machine!” Twinkle exclaimed, to which Kajol replied with a smile, “I genuinely believe so. Who can promise that they will marry the right person at the right time? If marriages had a time limit, people wouldn’t have to carry long-term regrets. And if renewals were possible, relationships could find fresh meaning again.”

Later in the show, another question came up — “Can money buy happiness?” Kajol instantly said “No,” explaining, “Sometimes, having too much money makes us overlook what true happiness really means.”
