The Maharashtra government has ordered an inquiry into YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's controversial comments during his appearance on the "India's Got Latent" show. Allahbadia, known for his YouTube channel Beer Biceps, made objectionable remarks about parents and sex during an episode of comedian Samay Raina's now-deleted show, sparking outrage and complaints from several viewers.

The inquiry, directed by the state's cultural department led by Ashish Shelar, was initiated after complaints were filed against the show for its vulgar content. The government has also received complaints about similar shows running without proper permission.

In related developments, Mumbai Police summoned Allahbadia to appear at the Khar police station for questioning. However, when police visited his residence, his flat was locked. Allahbadia had previously requested to record his statement at home, but this was denied. The police have now issued a second summons for him to appear.
