Namit Malhotra Confirms Rs 4,000 Cr Budget For Ramayana movie

The upcoming epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is officially India’s most expensive movie ever, with a jaw-dropping budget of Rs 4,000 crore. Produced by Namit Malhotra, the film will be released in two parts, Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.

In a recent podcast, Namit Malhotra disclosed that Ramayana is being made on a staggering $500 million budget, an unparalleled figure in the history of Indian cinema.

Most Indian films rarely exceed Rs 500 crore, making Ramayana a true cinematic milestone.

Ranbir plays Lord Ram, Yash takes on the role of Ravana, and Sai Pallavi stars as Sita. Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol will appear as Lord Hanuman in this mythological spectacle.
