NHRC Action Against Ranbir Kapoor For E Cigarette Promotion
NHRC takes action against Ranbir Kapoor for promoting e-cigarettes in Aryan Khan's OTT series. A complaint claims the scene violates India’s prohibition law.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor faces trouble after the NHRC moved to act against him for breaching the Prohibition Act. In Aryan Khan’s series Bad of Bollywood, Kapoor appears smoking an e-cigarette, which is banned in India.
The NHRC has also questioned Netflix and the filmmakers for showcasing prohibited products without warnings. A complaint by the Legal Rights Observatory stated that such promotion misleads youth.
NHRC member Priyank Kanoongo confirmed, “E-cigarettes are banned in India. No one can promote, sell, or import them.” A complaint has been filed with the Mumbai Police Commissioner against Kapoor, the production team, and the OTT platform.
