Orry And 7 Others Booked For Allegedly Consuming Alcohol Near Vaishno Devi Shrine

Orry (Orhan Awatramani) and seven others were booked by the J&K Police for allegedly consuming alcohol near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. The group, including social media influencer Orry, was accused of drinking in a hotel within the area, which has strict laws prohibiting alcohol and non-vegetarian food due to its proximity to the sacred pilgrimage site.

Orry, known for his connections with Bollywood celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday, was charged alongside his friends and a Russian national. The police filed an FIR (No. 72/25) against them for offending religious sensitivities. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with some demanding Orry’s ban from the area and others criticizing the violation of the shrine's sanctity.

While some users defended Orry, blaming the pressure of fame for his actions, others condemned the incident as disrespectful to the religious site.
