Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar’s lifeless body was found in her Karachi residence on the 9th of this month.

The post-mortem report revealed she had passed away nearly nine months ago. The delay in discovering her death was due to no one being present on her apartment floor.

Police found her last phone call was in October 2024, and neighbors last saw her around September-October last year. Humaira also stopped posting on social media in September 2024, indicating she died then.

Her family refused to claim her body. Her father, retired Army doctor Dr. Asghar Ali, her father, revealed that he had recently distanced himself from Humaira. Meanwhile, the Sindh Culture Department has stepped in to organize her funeral.

Humaira's career included appearances on the reality show Tamasha Ghar, the 2015 movie Jalaibi, and several Pakistani TV dramas such as Just Married, Chal Dil Mere, Ehsaan Faramosh, and Guru. Her most recent film role was in Love Vaccine (2021), alongside Farhan Saeed and Sonya Hussain.
