Rag Mayur: The Rising Star Making Waves with Versatile Roles

Rag Mayur is emerging as a promising young actor, following in the footsteps of Bollywood’s Rajkummar Rao and Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil by choosing diverse scripts. His recent performances in the Sivarpalli web series and Gandhi Thaatha Chettu movie have made him the talk of the industry. While he played the lead role in Sivarpalli, he impressed audiences as a villain in Gandhi Thaatha Chettu, showcasing his versatility.

Rag Mayur, a state topper in academics, initially focused on his studies before pursuing acting. Starting as a movie reviewer, he transitioned into a performer who now receives glowing reviews himself. He made his debut with Cinema Bandi, where his portrayal of Maridesh Babu, with natural comedic timing, played a crucial role in the film’s success. Since then, he has continued to pick unique roles, including a lawyer in Keeda Cola and Brahmanandam’s grandson. His role in Veeranjaneya Yatra as an ambitious startup founder further showcased his range.

In Sivarpalli, he delivered an outstanding performance as a reluctant Panchayat Secretary, while his negative-shaded role in Gandhi Thaatha Chettu earned him critical acclaim. Looking ahead, Rag Mayur is set to appear in Parada, directed by Cinema Bandi’s filmmaker, as well as Garividi Lakshmi under People Media Factory and an untitled project with Geetha Arts 2. His ability to adapt to diverse characters is solidifying his place in the industry.
