Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, has been summoned by Mumbai’s Economic Offences Wing on September 15 over allegations involving a ₹60.48 crore financial scam.

Authorities claim that funds obtained through Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, allegedly promised as investments to businessman Deepak Kothari, were instead used for personal purposes.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have denied any wrongdoing, a position also presented to the National Company Law Tribunal in Mumbai last October.
