Recently, Genelia shared amusing insights about their relationship, highlighting Riteish as the ideal partner with no cultural conflicts. However, she recounted a prank that left her furious.

On April Fool’s Day, Riteish sent her a late-night text saying, “We’re done,” before falling asleep. Genelia read the message at 2:30 a.m. and spent the night worrying about their relationship, feeling depressed and confused. She recalled, “I was miserable until 9 in the morning,” while Riteish woke up completely unaware of the chaos he had caused.

When he called her cheerfully, asking what was wrong, she confronted him about the prank. Riteish reminded her it was just a joke for April Fool’s Day, to which she replied, “Who jokes about something like that?”

Despite the prank, Genelia praised Riteish for being a perfect husband, noting his respect for women and his supportive nature. She remarked, “He plays the homemaker while I shoot, doing it with dignity and without making it seem like a chore. I lucked out.”

Riteish and Genelia met in 2002 on the set of their debut film, Tujhe Meri Kasam, and their friendship blossomed into love over nearly a decade. They married in 2012, blending Maharashtrian and Christian traditions, and now share two sons, continuing to delight fans with their joyful relationship.
