Saif Ali Khan Claims Rs 36 Lakh For Treatment After Knife Attack, Receives Rs 25 Lakh

Saif Ali Khan's Health Insurance Claim Exposed After Stabbing Incident

Saif Ali Khan, who was attacked during a burglary at his Bandra residence on the night of January 15-16, filed a medical insurance claim for Rs 35.95 lakh for his treatment. However, the insurance company, Niva Bupa, has approved only Rs 25 lakh so far. The actor, currently recovering at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, suffered six stab wounds in the attack and is receiving treatment for unspecified injuries.

A leaked document revealed sensitive details, including his diagnosis, room type, and discharge date. Niva Bupa confirmed they had authorized an initial amount to cover the treatment costs. The unauthorized release of the insurance document has raised privacy concerns.

A recent video shows the suspect entering the building with a covered face. Police have questioned Kareena Kapoor, Saif's wife, about the incident. Maharashtra's Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam, confirmed the attack wasn't linked to any underworld gang.
