Saif Ali Khan Reveals Death Threats After Interfaith Marriage with Kareena Kapoor

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, once known as the lover boy in many romantic films, has a huge fan following in the North Indian film industry. In recent years, he has shifted to playing villainous roles, impressing audiences on screen. He recently played the role of Bhaira in the film Devara, starring Young Tiger NTR, which was a massive box office success. Saif will also appear in Devara Part 2. However, amid the recent wave of death threats to Bollywood stars, Saif too has been a target. These threats have not surfaced recently but occurred after his marriage.

Saif Ali Khan, who married actress Kareena Kapoor, revealed in an interview that the couple faced threats due to their interfaith marriage. Many opposed their wedding and even advised Kareena not to marry Saif. Despite the opposition, the couple married in October 2012, prioritizing their feelings over public opinion. After their marriage, they received death threats.

Saif shared that following their wedding, an anonymous letter was sent to his brother-in-law Ranbir Kapoor, threatening to kill their family and place a bomb near their house. Although the threat was alarming, it did not trouble them much. Saif also mentioned that similar threats had been received by his family in the past. He mentioned, "I don't concern myself with what others think about us.". There is a big difference between threats and the ability to carry them out.” Saif's parents, Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, had also faced similar threats due to their interfaith marriage.
