Saif Ali Khan's Stabbing: Fingerprints At Scene Don't Match Accused
Mumbai Police investigate the shocking knife attack on Saif Ali Khan, with fingerprints from the scene not matching the accused. Shariful Islam, arrested for the attack.

Mumbai Police are investigating a shocking knife attack on actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra home, where the fingerprints collected from the scene do not match those of the accused, Shariful Islam. The police had sent the fingerprints to the state's CID for analysis, but the test results came back negative. Shariful, a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally, allegedly attempted the burglary in hopes of obtaining fake citizenship documents.
Khan, who suffered six stab wounds, including one near his spine that caused spinal fluid leakage, is recovering well after being hospitalized. Meanwhile, the police are continuing their search for the person who promised Shariful fake documents. Authorities also contacted Western Railway for assistance in identifying the suspect from CCTV footage, as the intruder’s image was unclear. While Shariful was arrested, the investigation is ongoing to strengthen the case.
