Sanjay Kapoor Dies of Heart Attack During Polo Match in England

The film industry has been hit with yet another tragedy. Even before the Telugu film industry could recover from the death of renowned director A.S. Ravi Kumar and senior producer K. Mahendra (79), another shocking demise has occurred. Sanjay Kapoor (53), the ex-husband of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and a prominent Indian industrialist, passed away due to a heart attack while playing a polo match in England. According to his family, he was undergoing treatment for health issues at a private hospital in Guntur before his passing.

Reports suggest that while Sanjay was playing, a honeybee entered his mouth, which may have caused a severe allergic reaction leading to a heart attack. Despite immediate medical attention, doctors couldn’t save him. It is suspected that unknowingly swallowing the bee triggered a serious allergy, caused breathing issues, and eventually led to cardiac arrest.

Karisma Kapoor, who ruled Bollywood in the 1990s, married Sanjay Kapoor in 2003 and settled in London. The couple had two children before separating in 2014 and finalizing their divorce in 2016. Sanjay later married Priya Sachdev, while Karisma has remained single since. Sanjay Kapoor was a key figure in the Indian automotive industry, serving as the Chairman of Sona Comstar and President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), contributing significantly to the sector’s growth. Just hours before his death, Sanjay had expressed condolences on social media for the victims of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. His sudden death has shocked the film and industrial communities, with many paying their respects.
