Shah Rukh Khan Confirms Role In Sujoy Ghosh's 'King'

Shah Rukh Khan has officially confirmed his role in "King," an action film directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The actor will undergo a weight loss regimen to prepare for the demanding action sequences. Speculation about his involvement had been circulating, and rumors suggest that his daughter, Suhana Khan, might also appear in the film.

Shah Rukh announced this news during a Q&A at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where he received the Pardo alla Carriera (Career Leopard) award. He described the physical challenges of action stunts and his need for recovery afterward, humorously noting that despite the on-screen thrill, the reality is physically exhausting.

Following his recent action-packed films like "Pathaan," "Jawan," and "Dunki," Shah Rukh expressed a desire to take on roles more fitting for his age. He discussed this with Ghosh, known for "Badla" and "Bob Biswas," produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment.

Shah Rukh also shared insights about his personal life, emphasizing the importance of humility for his children and the supportive role of his wife, Gauri Khan. Suhana debuted in "The Archies" in 2023, while Aryan is working on his directorial debut web series, rumored to be called "Stardom." Shah Rukh concluded by stating that he expects to finish "King" by 2025.
