Shilpa Shetty Raj Kundra Booked In 60 Crore Investment Fraud
Mumbai's Economic Offences Wing has accused Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra of misappropriating 60.4 crore from an investor, alleging the funds were redirected for personal gain.

Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing has registered a case against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra over accusations of duping a businessman in a high-value investment agreement.
According to complainant Deepak Kothari, director of Lotus Capital Financial Services, between 2015 and 2023, the couple took ₹60.4 crore for business expansion through their company Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, where they held 87.6% stake. Initially promised 12% interest, Kothari was persuaded to convert the loan into an investment. Funds were allegedly diverted for personal use, and the company later went bankrupt.
An FIR has been registered under charges of cheating and breach of trust. The probe, now handled by the Economic Offences Wing after its shift from Juhu Police Station, remains in active review.
