In a significant development in the conspiracy to kill Bollywood star Salman Khan, police have arrested a suspect named Sukha in Panipat, Haryana. He is set to be presented in court today.

The Navi Mumbai Police have linked this case to threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has targeted Salman since the 1998 black deer case. In April, a shooting incident occurred near Salman's home and plans to attack him resurfaced in June.

Recent investigations revealed that the Bishnoi gang had plotted to murder Salman, similar to the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, with a contract of Rs 25 lakh. The police discovered that they intended to purchase modern firearms, including AK-47s and M16s, from Pakistan and had been surveilling locations around Salman's farmhouse and residence.
